For my penultimate week as Photographer of the Month, I thought I would share with you some more images of the beautiful Autumn light.

It seems appropriate, as this wonderful – yet too short – season begins to bow out to make way for the cold Winter months, that I leave you with some of my impressions of my favourite month.

I always dread the coming of the Winter. Not because I dislike the season – there are some wonderful photographic opportunities to be had, after all! – but because I miss the Autumn light so much.

Maybe it is fitting that such a magical, special time of year should be so short, in order that we savour it even more. As the golden hues give way to a paler, colder light, a part of me will always long for that Autumn glory.
