Alycia Adams Neighbours continues as January ‘Photographer of the Month’.  She writes ‘Petals of a flower unfurling to gather the warmth of the sun. Serenity in the appreciation of nature.

Serenity in making “me” time. Noticing the moments that are given us as a gift. Serenity in making our time count. The big picture in our lives can be so overwhelming that serenity seems impossible. Yet, when we take the time to refocus in on the little things around us and appreciate the small moments; we can find that serenity was there all along for us to immerse ourselves in.’

Alycia is a mother, photographer and writer in the Middle Tennessee area. Although a successful portrait photographer, her real passion is capturing the small and often overlooked beauty that surrounds us daily. She writes the blog “Color Me Happy” and uses her photography principles in her writing as well; often taking the small moments and applying it to a deeper meaning through life and faith.

Note from the Editor: In looking for a title to this week’s photographs by Alycia, I found myself thinking or William Blake’s ”To see the world in a grain of sand, and to see heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour’.
